Acrostic Poems About Snowmobiles

New diagnostic and therapeutic approaches: which therapy?

After reading the previous post is now one wonders why they are so many, many cases of asymptomatic people with degeneration of the complex disk-vertebral column, that is because there are so many people that have a spine degenerate and do not suffer (or suffer a little) back pain?

With advancing age, or after repeated trauma (including children) all connective tissues (beams, ligaments, cartilage) undergo degenerative changes which tend to be more pronounced the higher the stresses to which the functional structure is subject (heavy, awkward postures maintained over time, over-loading disc).

The spine then be regarded as a dynamic complex consisting of individual functional units (the disc, the vertebrae and their joints, ligaments and muscles and finally the spinal cord) are closely interconnected and interdependent, it follows that if some of it does not work the other are progressively compromised.

These degenerative processes are also accelerated and worsened by many factors, both mechanical and non-mechanical (stress, emotional problems, bowel disorders, surgery, tumors, infections, pregnancy). But if the cause of our "Back Pain" is only mechanical in 20% of cases and the remaining 80% appears to be multifactorial, then therapy should be multifaceted, multidimensional and multidisciplinary. And if up to a decade ago, we talked almost exclusively of surgery in its various forms and nuances (or classical microscopic discectomy, intradiscal, nucleoaspirazione) now the scientific evidence is clearly in favor of a conservative therapy and minimally invasive treatment (infiltration intraforaminale ozone or corticosteroids)

Physiotherapy and gymnastics, can give an important support and as a unique approach to the problem (with technical specifications in relation to the nature of damage) or as a supplement to medical treatment, or recovering from minimally invasive surgery.
rehabilitative techniques have moved in different directions, with the sole intent of disrupting a concept rooted in very traditional culture is that of the rest.

It has been shown that, except in severe cases of spinal instability, staying in bed property protected by guardians or corsets, is in most cases unnecessary, in most cases even harmful.
The question is then compiled with your physical therapist a treatment plan targeted and highly personalized to highlight and correct the underlying causes, identifying the positions or movements adequate for recovery.
manipulative therapy is certainly useful and sometimes even termination of the disease
